Airway inflammation (AI) and hyperresponsiveness (AHR) are two asthma hallmarks. However, the function of particular cell types, i.e. eosinophils or T-cells, in the development of AHR is still not unambigously elucidated. We hypothesized that challenge of mice with varying antigen doses could provide new insights into the complex mechanisms by which AI enhances AHR.
