This research identified the central hindrances found in Brazilian wooden housing scenario in the fields of finished product, producer, and sector. Thus, a questionnaire with three qualitative questions based on multiple-choice answers allowed investigating the difficulties faced by these producers in Brazil. This sector still faces obstacles in the three observed fields, especially for the negative aspects of house financing, housing technique certification, skilled hand labour, general costs i...

News claims that travel the Internet and online social networks (OSNs) originate from different, sometimes unknown sources, which raises issues related to the credibility of those claims and the drivers behind them. Fact-checking websites such as Snopes, FactCheck, and Emergent use human evaluators to investigate and label news claims, but the process is labor- and time-intensive. Driven by the need to use data analytics and algorithms in assessing the credibility of news claims, we focus on wha...

Posterolateral rotatory instability (PLRI) is the most common cause of residual instability following a simple elbow dislocation. PLRI may result from trauma or iatrogenic injury to the radial ulnohumeral ligament (RUHL) during treatment for other conditions, such as lateral epicondylitis. PLRI can be identified through a combination of history and physical examination and confirmed with MRI arthrography.

Recent work has demonstrated that Goshen points overlap in time with another group of unfluted lanceolate points from the Plains, Plainview points. This has raised the question of whether the two types should be kept separate or consolidated into a single type. We sought to resolve this issue by applying geometric morphometric methods to a sample of points from well-documented Goshen and Plainview assemblages. We found that their shapes were statistically indistinguishable, which indicates that ...

Triceps injuries, including triceps tendon ruptures, are relatively rare. Recently, the knowledge of tendon lesions has increased, and it seems to be related to more precise diagnostic and clinical assessments. The most common mechanism of injury remains a forceful eccentric contraction of the muscle. Several other risk factors have been studied, such as chronic renal failure, endocrine disorders, metabolic bone diseases, and steroid use. Olecranon bursitis and local corticosteroid injections ma...

Abstract Online social networks (OSNs) typically promote information sharing and publicity without consideration of the nature of the content’s credibility and quality issues in created and shared content. OSNs have little interest in dealing with information accuracy because such tasks are resource and time consuming and might contradict or limit their main goal of promoting information sharing. Conversely, there are some websites that attempt to track accuracy, but they tend to use largely man...
