Abstract The present study was focused on synthesis of mixed biosorbent using agricultural waste (Borassus flabellifer male inflorescence) and fungal biomass (Aspergillus tamarii) to study the Zn(II) ion adsorption. The synthesized agriculture waste biomass was chemically modified to enhance the Zn(II) ion removal process. Abstract The importance of the current research is to isolate the pigment-producing fungal species from the pomegranate fruit using Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA) and characterized as Aspergillus tamarii by 18S rRNA sequencing.
