The ligational behavior of Schiff base ligand obtained by the condensation of cyanoacetylhydrazine and dehydroacetic acid towards some first transition series bivalent ions has been studied. The 14 UD Pelletron Accelerator at TIFR, Mumbai is operational since its inception in 1988. It was decided to impart enough time for High voltage conditioning to achieve higher operational voltage. Proton irradiation set up at 14UD BARC-TIFR Pelletron Accelerator Facility at TIFR is being utilized to conduct experiments for variety of applications including, production of radionuclides such as 52Mn, 96Tc and 236Pu and for monoenergetic high energy neutrons production via Li (p, n) Be reaction. The installation and commissioning of the multi target assembly has resulted into improved beam utilization as it permits in situ target changeover without breaking the vacuum.
