Abstract Flaxseed is a rich source of lignans and hydroxycinnamic acids. In this study, the variation of lignans, hydroxycinnamic acids, and the transcription levels of genes involving lignan biosynthetic pathway of flaxseed capsules at different mature stages was investigated.
