Abstract In this paper, several common solvents including butyl acetate, methyl acetate, ethyl acetate, acetonitrile, 1-butanol, isobutanol, isopropanol, ethanol, 1-propanol, methanol, acetone, and water, were selected as solubility solvents for benzamide. This study tests the effect of using the combination of graphene oxide (GO) with different valence cations as a heterogeneous nucleant on promoting catalase crystallization. This study reports the first experimental evidence of using DNA as a polymeric additive to enhance protein crystallization.
