PANDA (anti-Proton ANnihiliation at DArmstadt) is planned to be one of the four main experiments at the future international accelerator complex FAIR (Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research) in Darmstadt, Germany. Abstract To perform nuclear reaction experiments at HIRA, IUAC, New Delhi, thin (100–150 μg/cm2) and pure 61,62Ni targets of uniform thickness are required. Self supporting targets are preferable for such case but, instead, carbon-backed isotopic targets are fabricated by adapting physical vapour deposition technique as it was comparatively more stable and consistent. In this paper, we report an analysis of partial momentum fractions carried by quarks and gluons in six alternative phenomenological models of proton structure function valid in limited small x regions: xai ≤ x ≤ xbi, i = 1 to 6; the limits being determined by phenomenological range of validity in each model. The \(\bar{\text{ P }}\)ANDA experiment at FAIR in Darmstadt will perform a fixed target experiment by using a cooled beam of antiprotons in the momentum range between 1.5 to 15 GeV/c to study open questions in hadron physics. The core program comprises charmonium spectroscopy with precision measurement of mass, width and decay branches, investigation of possible exotic states, search for modifications of charmed hadrons in nuclear matter and \(\gamma \)-ray spectroscopy of hypernuclei.

The exclusive charmonium production process in \bar{p}pannihilation with an associated \pi^0meson \bar{p}p\to J/\psi\pi^0is studied in the framework of QCD collinear factorization.
