Precisely dating different generations of mineralization is important for understanding the origin and tectonic environment of ore formation. This study presents a chemical protocol for the separation of Mg that is particularly adapted for diverse igneous rock samples, especially for high-K and low-Mg rocks. In this work, we improved the sensitivity of a multi-collector-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry system by increasing the vacuum of the expansion chamber using a high-speed EH mechanical booster pump (EH500, 500 m3 h−1, BOC Edwards) in conjunction with a standard E2M80 pump (80 m3 h−1, BOC Edwards). In this study, we established a rapid acid digestion for determining Hf–Sr–Nd isotopic ratios of geological samples by using MC-ICP-MS. Conditions of 1600 °C for 1 min and 1400 °C for 1 min were adopted for fusing intrusive rocks and extrusive rocks, respectively. Abstract The Feie'shan greisen–type W–Sn deposit in the eastern Guangdong Province forms part of the Southeastern Coastal Metallogenic Belt (SCMB) in South China.
