ABSTRACTEarly Palaeozoic magmatic records and tectonic reconstructions along the northern margin of Gondwana are still pending problems. In this paper, Late Silurian Dawazi and Dazhonghe volcanics in SW Yunnan Province (China) were studied. Abstract Geodynamics of the Mongol-Okhotsk oceanic plate southward subduction are still pending problems. This paper presents new zircon LA-ICP-MS U–Pb ages and whole-rock geochemical data for two granitic plutons and rhyolites of the Baiyingaolao Formation in the western Xing’an range (NE China). The two syenogranite granitic plutons yield identical zircon U–Pb age of 142 ± 1 Ma, and the Baiyingaolao rhyolites yield zircon U–Pb age of 138 ± 2 Ma.
