In this paper, we used a coarse-grained model at the residue level to calculate the binding free energies of three protein-protein complexes. The approximation of summation with a fast convergent series has been frequently used to speed up the solution of problems in electromagnetics like solving for propagation constant for shielded microstrip lines, finlines, etc.[1]. But such convergent series exist only for specific cases and cannot be applied to speed up the summation in general case. The Euler Maclaurin Formula (EMF) [2] has been widely used for approximation of finite and infinite series summations for any general series.

In this paper, a novel accelerated spectral domain approach (SDA) using few basis has been used to obtain very accurate and quick solution for propagation constant (β) for shielded microstrip lines. Analysis of two-dimensional scattering from multilayered periodic array using integral equation method with connection scheme

In this paper, the two-dimensional scattering from multilayered PEC arrays is calculated by using IE approach combined with connection scheme. This approach can handle the case of arbitrarily-shaped PEC objects and the different media in different layers. Numerical results are given to validate the formulation proposed.
