This meta-analysis is aimed to explore the effect of NSPT, exclusively scaling and root planing (SRP) as monotherapy on glycemic control and periodontal parameters in patients of T2DM with CP. Materials and Methods: Two databases, MEDLINE and EMBASE, were searched from June 2006 to June 2016....

Abstract Oral lichen planus (OLP) is a fairly distinctive mucocutaneous premalignant condition. The aetiology of the condition appears to be complex and multifactorial. It is thought to occur in approximately 1–2% of the population. Malignant transformation of OLP has been reported in 0.5% of cases. OLP is very rare in children. This report shows a rare case of a 13 years old child diagnosed with lichen planus.

Odontogenic keratocyst (OKC) is a destructive jaw lesion with a propensity for recurrence. Single OKC are very well documented. Multiple OKCs form a part of Gorlin – Goltz syndrome. We present a case of multiple OKCs which were not associated with any syndrome. The case was treated by a 2 stage procedure encompassing marsupialisation, followed by extensive enucleation and chemical cautery. 1 year follow up revealed satisfactory healing with no recurrence.

Abstract Herpes zoster (HZ) or ‘shingles’ results from reactivation of the Varicella zoster virus (VZV). Primary VZV infections in sero negative individuals are known as varicella or chicken pox. Secondary or reactivated disease is known as shingles or herpes zoster. Early diagnosis and use of antiviral agents should be the mainstay of its management. This paper presents a case report of such an infection and its management.
