Person-Centered Oncologic Care and Choices (P-COCC) combines an advance care planning (ACP) value-focused patient interview with a care goal video decision aid. Our randomized study showed that P-COCC was acceptable but increased participant distress, compared with video-alone and usual care study arms. This mixed methods approach explores the ACP values in the P-COCC arm and their relationship to the distress phenomenon. Qualitative thematic analysis of the 46 audio-recorded P-COCC interview tr...

Abstract Background A continued rise of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) incidence is noted. HCC main risk factors are hepatitis B, C, alcohol, and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis. The majority of biliary tumors are adenocarcinomas. Biliary tumors have been classically understood as three different diseases: gallbladder cancer, extrahepatic, and intrahepatic biliary tumors, with different clinical and biological characteristics. Methods Presenting the basic scientific components and clinical premises...

Abstract Background The primary APACT analysis showed no significant difference in disease-free survival (DFS) by blinded, independent radiologic review with nab-P/G vs G in patients (pts) with surgically resected pancreatic cancer (PC). However, investigator-assessed DFS (prespecified sensitivity analysis) and interim overall survival (OS; secondary endpoint) trended in favor of nab-P/G. Here, we report interim OS exploratory subanalyses. Methods Treatment-naive pts with histologically confirme...
