This study presents a practical method for high-precision Cu and Pb isotope determination without column chemistry for bronzes using MC-ICP-MS. In this work, we improved the sensitivity of a multi-collector-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry system by increasing the vacuum of the expansion chamber using a high-speed EH mechanical booster pump (EH500, 500 m3 h−1, BOC Edwards) in conjunction with a standard E2M80 pump (80 m3 h−1, BOC Edwards). In this study, we established a rapid acid digestion for determining Hf–Sr–Nd isotopic ratios of geological samples by using MC-ICP-MS. Conditions of 1600 °C for 1 min and 1400 °C for 1 min were adopted for fusing intrusive rocks and extrusive rocks, respectively.
