Turmalina is an important orogenic gold deposit located in the NW region of the Quadrilatero Ferrifero. The deposit is hosted in an Archean greenstone belt composed of ortho-amphibolites and pelites with interleaved tuffs metamorphosed under amphibolite facies conditions and intruded by a granite stock. Abstract The Picarrao and Liberdade deposits contain high-grade iron orebodies (>65% Fe) hosted in the Guanhaes Group itabirite, that are associated with pegmatite veins and bodies. Abstract The Banded Iron Formation (BIFs) of the Caue Formation, Quadrilatero Ferrifero, Brazil, are part of the great volume of BIFs deposited worldwide around 2.45 Ga.
